TranslAI Privacy Policy

1. Privacy Summary

TranslAI is designed to operate locally on your Mac.

• No account or registration is required.
• Translation, correction, Chat, and Study Center processing occur on your device.
• Your text is not uploaded to ANN2thrive or third-party cloud services.
• TranslAI contains no advertising or tracking technology.
• TranslAI does not collect analytics, usage data, or diagnostic data.
• The language model required for translation is included with the application.
• No runtime model download is required.

2. Data Processed by TranslAI

Text entered into TranslAI, generated translations, Chat messages, and Study Center content are processed locally on your Mac.

ANN2thrive does not receive, access, store, or transmit this content.

Depending on the features you use, TranslAI may store the following information locally within the macOS application sandbox:

• Application settings
• Preferred languages
• Custom glossary entries
• Saved Study vocabulary and review progress

This information remains on your Mac and is not accessible to ANN2thrive.

3. Local AI Processing

TranslAI uses bundled language-model technology and Apple system frameworks available on your device. These components process content locally.

The bundled model and runtime libraries do not transmit your text to their developers or to remote services.

4. Network Access

TranslAI does not require network access for its functionality. The application is distributed without network client or server permissions in its App Sandbox configuration.

An internet connection is required only to obtain and update TranslAI through the Mac App Store. Those activities are handled by Apple, not by TranslAI.

5. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

TranslAI does not include:

• Analytics SDKs
• Advertising SDKs
• Tracking technologies
• Third-party crash-reporting services
• User profiling
• Cross-app or cross-website tracking

ANN2thrive does not sell or share TranslAI user data.

6. App Store Purchases

Purchases and downloads are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. ANN2thrive does not receive your payment-card information.

Apple may process purchase, account, device, and diagnostic information according to its own privacy policy:

7. Deleting Local Data

You can delete TranslAI’s locally stored settings, glossary entries, and Study vocabulary by opening:

Settings → Privacy & Data → Reset TranslAI

This deletion cannot be undone.

Copies may remain in backups created and controlled by you, such as Mac or Time Machine backups. ANN2thrive cannot access or delete those backups.

8. Support Communications

TranslAI does not transmit support information automatically.

If you contact us by email, we will process the information you voluntarily provide, which may include:

• Your name and email address
• Your Mac model and macOS version
• Your TranslAI version
• Your description of the issue
• Any attachments you choose to provide

Please do not send confidential or sensitive translation content.

Support information is used only to respond to your request, troubleshoot problems, protect the application, and meet applicable legal obligations. It is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

The legal basis for this processing is handling your support request and our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving TranslAI.

9. Children’s Privacy

TranslAI does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

10. Security

TranslAI uses the macOS App Sandbox to isolate locally stored application data. However, no device or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Mac, user account, and backups.

11. Your Rights

Where applicable, including under the European General Data Protection Regulation, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data
• Request correction or deletion
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority

Because TranslAI application content remains on your Mac, ANN2thrive normally has no application data that can be accessed, corrected, or deleted on your behalf.

12. Website Privacy

This policy applies to the TranslAI macOS application and support communications.

The TranslAI support website may process technical information or use cookies separately. Website processing is described in the general ANN2thrive website privacy policy:

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to TranslAI, legal requirements, or our support practices. The current version and its effective date will always be published on this page.
